How is it that there is a group called “The Friends of Cody Ross” but no corresponding group called “The Friends of David Ross”. Am I sensing a bit of right field bigotry towards the left fielders?

That was me. My friends are not sure if Olney is right, but his track record in statements of this nature inspires doubt as to his accuracy. Thus, they do not want to comment at this time.

If the Sox signed a poor imitation of Cody Ross to play left field (Jonny Gomes) for 2 years $10MM what do you think the real product will cost? I think at least 3 years/$24MM. The Gomes signing is looking more and more like a waste.
