Eric Kuselias and I chatted last night about the Hall of Fame ballot. He asked me (1) which, if any, of the PED-associated guys have a shot at induction this year; and (2) who, ultimately, is getting inducted on this year’s ballot.
Oh, and I used the word “taint” even though I told myself before we went on the air that I would not use the word “taint.” Stupid brain.

C’mon Craig. That was like saying “I’m not going to think about elephants for the next 15 minutes.” You doomed yourself the minute you decided you weren’t going to say “taint.”

I’ve seen worse ballots. At least he didn’t vote for Morris.

1, Biggio
2. PiazzaWould be thrilled to see Bagwell get in, and would be perfectly fine with Clemens and Bonds, but we’ll just have to wait and see.
And Craig, there’s nothin’ wrong with the Taint…..embrace it.

Biggio, Bagwell, Piazza, Raines, McGriff, Trammel are all people I’d cheerfully pencil in on my ballot if I had a vote. Then I would hold my nose and pencil in McGwire, Bonds, Clemens, and Sosa.
