I was going to say you meant "Dexter Fowler is not worth Homer Bailey" because I feel Homer is worth more than Dexter but by the end I see we agree you just worded it backwards and confused me.

I'd much rather send the Rockies Leake and something else. Bailey is far too good to give up for just Dexter Fowler and honestly I'm not sure Bailey would do so well in the confines of Coors Field.

The tricky thing about trading Homer is that he was a Reds 1st round pick in 2004; 7th overall. They've been more than patient with him since that time, and now that he's possibly showing his promise, do the Reds sell high, or keep him and enjoy a potential long-term quality starter for years to come? A tough call for Walt to make, but one he probably has to make. The Reds will never make the WS without that leadoff guy.

Considering the Reds now have six starting pitchers with Chapman in the fold, Redmond able to spot start, and two AAA starters that are nearly ready, they have an abundance of riches at starter. On the other hand, Dexter Fowler is exactly what the Reds need: a cheap outfielder that can play CF, has good enough speed and patience at the plate to lead off, and can bat righthanders effectively.

If the Reds can get something close to a straight up swap of Bailey and Fowler, I think they will have gotten a steal.

Homer Bailey is not worth Dexter Fowler nonetheless Bailey and Stubbs. I'd be hard pressed to trade Stubbs straight up for Fowler. C'mon now, get serious! Leake for Fowler sounds more like it... especially if you include all the free T shirts Leake can ''acquire'' for your team! #shoplifting
