It is my belief that his ankle was much worse than he was letting on. If team physicians knew anything about it is up for grabs, but I would not be surprised if it was known that he had hairline fractures in a bone. Seeing the way he finally “broke” it, and keeping in mind his limping around on it before hand, leads me to believe that there was far more wrong with his ankle than we were being told. Of course, in typical Derek Jerter fashion he went down, heroically, on the field of play, deftly managing to turn his injury into some very good PR. I wanted to golf clap for him.

As for Mr. Rodriguez, well I do not believe that anything the front office did or said about him was going to be perceived in a good light. Hating on Alex Rodriguez is pretty much what some people do, and logic be damned.
