first of all let me say that all of you Nick Swisher "haters" dont know the real Nick Swisher. I have had the pleasure of knowing Nick since he came to live with his father Steve ( whom is a former major leauger himself and was on the all star team in 1976). Nick was a tremendous athlete at his High School growing up. He was a tremendous Baseball player as well as a football player. Nick had numerous offers to play D1 football but turned them down to play for his beloved Ohio State Buckeyes. What you see is what you get with Nick. Nick would be a great addition to ANY clubhouse. If your favorite MLB team is lucky enough to sign Swish you will become a Swisher fan. I guarntee it.

As a Red Sox fan I cannot scream loud enough: Swisher sucks! He is not a good player. The f-ing Boston media, fan base fall all over themselves: "We need a Nick Swisher type of player!"

If you want the worst RF in MLB - yes, then you want Swisher. He would be going from the easiest RF (Yankee stadium - in which he still f-ked up the most routine balls) to the most difficult and expansive RF (Fenway). The next thing they bring up - He's got power!! No he does not. He played 81 games at Yankee Stadium in which straight away RF is about 30 feet less than straight away RF at Fenway (and forget right handed - he only hits ground balls over second base bag from the right side of the plate). The 3rd - He's a great clubhouse guy! Go to deadspin and enter 'unheralded baseball feuds' and number 1 is Entire Yankee Clubhouse vs. Nick Swisher.

Speaking of batting avg's, the NYY total BA in the 2012 post season was .188. Most of that came from, Derek (ankle), A-Roid (hip), Martin (pirates), Ichiro (FA), Swisher (likely Boston), Ibanez (who?, oh the 40 year old). So have fun with Cano (.075) and Granderson (.100). Oh and watch out for that luxury tax.

Dear Red Sox,
Best of luck. We hope you sign Swisher ASAP. We are confident that you will be sick of his annoying smile before summer arrives. Enjoy watching when he goes 0-4 in those crucial August and September games. And yes it gets better. If you guys can reach the post season you will marvel as Swisher bats a robust .092 while leaving a dozen guys on base, but smiling the whole time. Enjoy.
