I am not advocating one way or the other on Worley – but there is something about him that makes me think Bruce Ruffin, Tyler Green and J.A. Happ. So many of these young pitchers look great until guys have seen them 3 or 4 times

He doesn’t appear to be a big improvement over John Mayberry, Jr. I would rather keep Worley and play Mayberry again in CF than trade for Fowler. It’s a bad market this year. The worse thing that Amaro can do is force the issue. Sometimes you’re better off standing pat.

It’s reductive to just double the road stats and assume that’s his true level, though. The NL West also has Petco Park, AT&T and Dodger Stadium, so he’s playing a lot of games in pitcher’s parks. A center fielder who can get on base with a little bit of pop is definitely worth a back end guy like Worley, I think.

Worley is worth more than Fowler, who looks like a very mediocre player away from Coors Field. I would trade Cloyd for Fowler, but not Worley.

60 year Phillie fan i trade Worley in a heart beat for Fowler. what’s your option overpay for Bourne or Hamilton the Phillies have pitching in the minors they do not have outfielders.

Those home/road splits are pretty dramatic. Amaro better not give up Worley for that guy.
