I guess Victorino-Red Sox makes some sense, but I think he’s a perfect fit for the Giants. Great contact hitter, some power and great on-base savvy. Probably work out at the top of the order, but has shown production in the six spot too. Actually, Victorino-Giants is more of a self-serving motivation for myself, since I would gladly like to see more runs produced in that sweet ballpark out there in SF.

Larry Dolan spending money on a real free agent. No way—It must be some of that $250M he is getting for selling Sports Time Ohio to Fox Sports. Or the $10m in new revenue he would get annually after the deal closes.

Oh it must have been a dream. Larry likes his “green” too much to spend it.

RF in Fenway is pretty spacious, so they could use his defense. He’s a CF, and it’s usually not a big issue to switch down the defensive spectrum.

Seems like a good fit to me, especially at that price.

I’m not exactly sure why the Red Sox would be that interested in Victorino. They have a Center Fielder and they just signed Jonny Gomez to platoon in left field. Victorino hasn’t put in any substantial time playing right field since 2007. In the last 5 years I think you can count the times he’s played right field on one hand.

3 for 30 for Victorino?

That seems like a bargain compared to the 3 for 39 they just gave Napoli.

Although, Victorino is actually athletic, can play defense and steal a base. That does not sound like a guy the Red Sox are interested in………
