Short of that, he still has value to the Dodgers even if he starts at AAA. Hanley Ramirez may yet end up at 3B, Luis Cruz may come back to earth and Mark Ellis could battle another injury. Gordon, despite his weaknesses, remains an in-house option in any of these scenarios and he is still young enough to qualify as a prospect. Not one with a high ceiling anymore but still some potential.
