He was the youngest player in his AA league last season and won’t turn 21 ’til Nov. of 2013. Tremendous bat speed and generates a ton of power for a kid that’s not even filled out.
I’m not reluctant to trade good players from the farm system but there’s zero chance I’d trade a prospect with his upside for a 38 year-old pitcher…much less throw in Jackie Bradley Jr.

Most of the top prospects are a little further down in the system and won’t be major-league ready for another year or two. But there is plenty of great talent at the High A and AA level. This was a consequence of Boston drafting more high school players rather than from the college pool.
