I will be totally heartbroken if they trade my Michael Young.. Not only is he a major leader in the clubhouse he sets the tone. For the whole team his experience and knowledge of the game is invaluable and he still plays awesome…

The only positive is that he would welcome a position shift and bring an MVP like hustle to the lineup while he boots those routine grounders…

Oh, if I was a Philly phan, I’d be horrified even by the suggestion of adding Young to the roster….but as a non-Phan…it would be interesting as hell to see how long they would keep him in the lineup because of his veterany goodness….despite the fact that he can’t field or hit.

Report: Phillies interested in more aging infielders.

Come on guys, did we not learn from David Bell or Pedro Feliz or the return of Placido Polanco this past year? I get that 3B is a thin market and the Galvis/Frandsen combination is entirely unsavory, but Michael Young was flat-out average all of last season.

I hope there is some inquiry being done by the Phils front office regarding the services of Kevin Youkilis; yes, he’s 33 and has back issues, but he’s the best FA option that’s available at 3B, and with Chase Headley staying put in San Diego, he might be our best bet if we can get him on a 2yr deal.
