Tim Lincecum is gonna put on some weight this winter

Dec 3, 2012, 3:00 PM EDT

Tim Lincecum used to be skinny. Then he got kinda buff, to be honest. Then sorta got skinny again. Each time he went up or down in weight, there was a sentiment expressed that the change will do his pitching good. So:

Now, he’s never been fat or anything so this isn’t a BSHOL situation, but it sorta reminds me of it.

Come March: ‘Tim Lincecum is in the best weight of his life.’

“Joke about pot legalization, munchies, and Washington being Lincecum’s birthplace!”

Okay, that’s out of the way…

This has more to do with Hostess going out of business than it does baseball.

Wouldn’t that potentially cause him to lose weight?

It’s just a temporary gain, like he did before.

5 pounds? I can put on 5 pounds just from a weekend of Guinness and Jameson.

If he actually stopped smoking maybe that has something to do with it. Lol

Timmy has always been a freak of nature. The guy could roll out of bed and eat a Choco Taco for dinner right before the game and pitch a 7 inning shutout without much effort. However, the times are a changing. Timmy will be 29 this June and I think he has realized that he isn’t 21 anymore and he is getting older and that he will actually have to get serious and put some effort into his off season work outs and taking better care of his body.

He’s working out with Kung Fu Panda’s personal trainer over the winter.
