The Ms are pretty tight with their player salary budget, so they’re always looking for guys who used to be bigger impact players but have fallen off some, who they can sign at a bargain rate and then hope the guy comes up big when he gets here. I know. It doesn’t happen. But they keep trying. It looks like they might throw some money at a bigger name this offseason, but they’ll NEVER outbid the big teams for the big stars. Never. It’s not in Chuck Armstrong’s and Howard Lincoln’s DNA.

Its amazing how a player has a good year and fans can’t get enough of him. A player has 2off years and he is “washed up”.. The Mets have one of the hardest parks to hit a homerun in.. Before Jason went to NY, his numbers were great, teams wanted him, fans wanted him on their team,. He plays in NY and now he is washed up? I hope he has a great year in Seattle and leads the Mariners to the playoffs..

Jason Bay has been done for three years. Those that think otherwise (blame the Mets for example) are idiots that haven’t watched Bay play the past three seasons. There’s no bat speed whatsoever.
