The guy is no better than a solid #3 starter. Any team that signs him to head a rotation is throwing money away.

Any team that pays Sanchez 70-90 million is crazy. This dudes career in know way justifies that kind of money. I think he wants to stay in Detroit, why hasn’t he gone elsewhere if this weren’t true?

Plus, Guthrie is NO HELP. Look at his stats last year. He pumped himself up with roids the 2nd half to get the fat, juicy contract just like Frenchy and Melky were doing.

I mean seriously, he was TWICE AS BETTER all a sudden! Impossible!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Big mistake to do that for KC…next year there are 5-7 guys similar to or better than Sanchez in FA and they aren’t competing next year….get Duffy Paulino Odorizzi ready for 2014 w Guthrie as an innings eater and spend big then on someone who has been a #1 or a strong #2 like Lincecum Johnson Garza
