If the Reds re-sign rolen, you can bet that Dusty will find excuses to play Rolen over Frazier most of the 60 games or so for which Rolen is healthy. Never mind that Frazier is far superior offensively now (this isn’t 1999) and not terrible defensively, and that Rolen’s vaunted defense has gone downhill quickly. Frazier can go 4-for-5 without an error, and Dusty will play Rolen the next day because he says Frazier is “tired”.

Nah, they need somebody who be healthy for the first 80 games, not 80 random games throughout the season.

I actually think it would be cool if he ended his career in Philly. (This is coming from a Phillies fan) I know there is a lot of animosity but this final reunion could cap a story book career for Mr. Rolen.
