Solid defense and the potential for left-handed power in an extremely thin third base market isn’t the worst thing in the world.

Of course, I do think Stewart knows this is his last chance. If he can’t be a useful player in 2013, he’s likely headed for a lifetime of minor league contracts with spring training invites, or Japan.

Not sure why Stewart continues to get contracts at the major league level. He is not good. I mean you even said it. .246/.334/.454 at COORS FIELD. He’s a .223 career hitter away from Coors. He should be a minor league contract candidate at this point. Nothing against him, I just find him to be still overrated from his prospect days.
