Arencibia, Rasmus and Gose will all be on the Blue Jay winter tour of Canada. Arencibia will also have a bobble head day. That leaves d’Arnaud as the most likely trade bait.

the Mets are just being very cautious and trying to what is best long term future, they have
him for at least one year but if someone throws a good trade their way they want to be able
to make a good decision. I believe they will give him a two year extension, maybe 25-30 mil.

True….but 2 yrs and $26M for a pitcher of Dickey’s caliber (he’s been great for 3 straight years) is a steal…in no way, shape, or form could that be considered “spending too much”.

Dickey is raising his trade value all by himself by making it known that he doesn’t want high AAV or a lot of years on an extension.

At the very least, the Mets did a fine job last week of establishing Dickey’s market value. I would say this is a solid reflection of that. They know he pretty much can’t and won’t turn it down… They’ve raised the offer and met (heh) him halfway. Dickey will take this deal.
