Would David Wright have signed with the Mets had they not moved the fences in?

Dec 13, 2012, 10:30 AM EDT

David Wright was on NBC SportsTalk last night. A good interview overall, but the best part comes when Eric Kuselias asks Wright if he would have signed with the Mets had they not brought the fences in at Citi Field.

Judging by Wright’s reaction, one gets the sense that (a) no one has asked him that before; and (b) no, no way in Hell would he have signed with the Mets had they not brought the fences in.

Judge for yourself. And, while you’re at it, judge Wright’s football fantasy team name. I kinda like it:

Chicks dig the long ball, and as we know, it’s all about the ladies.

Holy crap, is David Wright well spoken. Quick witted and funny, too. Great answers and Crash Davis approved. NOT a dumb jock and never mind the gun show arms. Also, that was one hell of a plug for RA Dickey. Well there’s one person affiliated with the Mets that is pretty fond of RA and doesn’t mind saying so. Good fantasy team name, too. Clearly he’s someone who doesn’t take himself too seriously.

But Dickey is the most popular Met, right?
