Yes, if LaRoche re-signs, they would trade Morse. He’s not going to sit on the bench, especially when the Nats have Tyler Moore, who does most of the things Morse does, at a much lower cost.

Point is, LaRoche does two things that Mores does not. He hits for power left-handed, and he plays excellent defense. Those are the things that make the Nats want to re-sign him.
