Obviously Josh and Katie continually want to use religion for their best interest. I don’t believe these are very truthful people (that’s just me). Their actions shouldn’t cast a negative light on religion in general. Sometime it seems like people start mocking religion based on how a few fools act. God is great and it’s unfortunate that people who often use his name in public aren’t always very genuine.

The mockery is professing that you are where you are because god wanted you there not because that team offered the most money. Mocking someone that makes a mockery of their own faith is completely justified. You don’t see people mocking faith when it is used in a genuine sense. The invocation of faith by the Hamiltons in this case is silly and disingenuous.

BTW, the “rewards” promised by god are not materialistic….are they?
