Damn. Just back from the pub and saw this. C-Ville was a reliable guy; steady and dependable. He could pitch relief, make starts, and eat innings. One of my favourite BullPen Beavermen. See ya, Carlos. Good luck on the Cubs.

V is a good team guy – did everything he was asked to here…only question with him is stamina..he sure knows how to pitch but if his location is the tiniest bit off he gets teed up cause he’s not overpowering by any stretch…AA did want him back but strictly as a swing guy cause of the stamina concerns..wish him all the best with the Cubbies…

Not a big surprise, as Villanueva wanted to be a starter with the Jays and obviously there’s no place for him in that rotation now. If he does start then it’ll be interesting to see how his arm holds up, as that was the concern here in T.O. (that he couldn’t handle a starter’s workload).

I liked the guy and hope he does well in Chicago.
