i could handle living in japan, in fact my employer has a japanese exchange program, and 95% of those kids that come over here are idiots and dont know left from right, the japanese academic system is overrated.

Jimbo, they seem to be most concerned with a history of drug aduse and not much else. Hence why you and many musicians had trouble. Not saying a minor alcohol possession is evidence of anything but being American. They don’t seem to agree though.

I’m not defending Andruw, but at this point it’s an allegation. (I don’t doubt he’s guilty, just because). Won’t the Japanese govt require a conviction before considering a denial for a visa? Same with the team, regarding any behavior clauses.

Lived there for a year for work-even if no clauses in his contract, I would be concerned with Japan customs even letting him in the country on an extended visa. They flagged me for a alcohol possession by a minor (the only “criminal” issue I have had in my life) when I had to renew as I originally only had a visa for a few months. Took me three days of nonsense to get it resolved such as getting faxes from the courts stating all clear from a small thing 15 years before that I paid a $75 fine for and was then dismissed-had honestly forgotten all about it honestly. When I finally got face to face with someone and gave them all the paperwork, they just laughed and extended me for another few months. Pretty sure they would take an assult a bit more seriously though (especially recent) as they deny entries at least once a year for a musician, actor, or something of that nature based on past criminal histories (usually drugs).
