Was surprised that Madsen was “guaranteed” the closers role with he signed with LAA, and would be surprised if Wilson gets the same….seems like it takes pitchers (and especially frequently-used relievers) a better part of a season to get their velocity and stamina back…..are there any major exceptions to this – pitchers who came back from surgery to a heavy closers workload the next season – that I’m not thinking of ?

As a giants fan he invented the word torture . I liked him before the act started and he was fairly effective how ever I did enjoy seeing romo and others . Wilson dilly dallies too much he over thinks as opposed to letting the hitters do that and that causes too many stressful pitches and too many base runners . He was on the downside and how the heck can he be mad at the giants for not throwing away money on him when they helped make him a star .
