It’s funny how the market is full of teams overpaying and then others get the cold shoulder and complaints they are asking for too much. Meanwhile guys like Edwin Jackson score 5 year deals a year removed from having the same cold shoulder treatment.

Wonder what exactly too much money is? Seems like the market has been overpaying for pitching as it is so why would it make a correction in Myer’s case?

Leaked by Sandy Alderson & the Mets. They leaked all that crap about Dickey when they were negotiating with him & now that they’re interested in Myers, it wouldn’t surprise me one bit that they leaked his high contract demands solely in the hope of him lowering their asking price. I mean, c’mon, Brett. How dare you ask the Mets for more than 1 year & more than $5 million each year? The Mets are willing to pay you about $1 million for only 1 year, but they’ll also throw in a John Deere tractor.
