It really doesn’t matter. If they do not bring in a big bat them all is for naught. Loosing Reynolds and his 90 hr over the last three years and relaxing him with the guy from Milwaukee is not a great move

I'm interested in bringing back Stanley Kubrick, myself. Got the idea from the trailer I saw last night ahead of Django Unchained for the digitally restored and enhanced version of Plan Nine from Outer Space that'll be in theaters in the spring. Anybody know a good, cheap re-animator?

Maybe, but it’s closer than you think. 2011 and 2012 ERA+
Johnson: 158 170
Lindstrom: 152 159

Johnson’s K/9 for his career is 5.7 vs. 7.3 for Lindstrom. I’d bet on the K’s going forward…though Lindstrom is 3 years older.
In addition, you’d have to weigh (Lindstrom + return for Johnson) vs. Johnson…not just a 1v1 comparison.

Whom is better is irrelevant. If the O’s can trade JJ for value then it is a matter of JJ < Lindstrom + traded player (s).

Even if they trade JJ and sign Lindstrom you wouldn't see him closing. He would be below O'Day, and Strop on the depth chart, maybe even Hunter and Matusz.

Lindstrom would be a great signing, especially if someone bites on Jim Johnson for a good return.

The O’s have no room in their current bullpen for Lindstrom. They will need to trade off at least one of their optionless RH RP for this to be feasible.
