I know it’s fun to bash Moore (I have partaken of the fun many times) but not all of those pickups were/are “punch-lines” to a Brave fetish joke and a few were just spring training invites and organizational filler. While others like Chen, Melky, Wilson Betemit, Juan Cruz, Farnsworth,and Ron Mahay were quality pickups.

Tony Pena Jr, Kyle Davies and Frenchy are fair game for fetish jokes though…

Blaine Boyer is a big, strong boy who can throw hard. He is certainly worth a look and is superior to many of these guys getting chances elsewhere.
