Javy Vazquez reportedly looks good

Jan 3, 2013, 12:20 PM EDT

We already posted about Javy Vazquez today. But this is worth its own:

“Sneaky good” is even better than “sneaky fast.” If he’s super serious about the comeback, we can probably expect a BSOHL event here soon.

Someone was watching a Major Leaguer pitch in an actual game on a Caribbean island today. I’m working in an office in frozen Chicago with no real baseball in sight. F@CK!

    • number42is1 - Jan 3, 2013 at 12:51 PM

FORMER major leaguer, he’s retarded you know…

      • number42is1 - Jan 3, 2013 at 12:52 PM

        OH MOTHERFUC*ER!

        RE-TIRE-D

      • El Bravo - Jan 3, 2013 at 12:53 PM

Judging my this story, I don’t think he’ll be retired for long. Therefore, I conclude that Javvy is neither retired nor retarded and is simply “in between teams” at the moment.

you win typo of the week

      • cur68 - Jan 3, 2013 at 1:39 PM

Great typo. Best one of the year, so far.

@42 – why did you grawlix the “K,” of all letters to pick?

    • kiwicricket - Jan 3, 2013 at 1:30 PM

I just had to scrape a dead fox out of a dank 17th century cellar. Mate, it gets worse than an office.

      • El Bravo - Jan 3, 2013 at 2:15 PM

        touche

      • Old Gator - Jan 4, 2013 at 12:04 AM

“Dank” and “17th century cellar” seems a tad redundant, no?

And come to think of it, what was that fox doing in the 17th century?

  2. illcomm - Jan 3, 2013 at 12:35 PM

maybe of his recent life, but not in the best shape of his whole life. Craig still providing crappy journalistic blogging.

    • Jeff J. Snider - Jan 3, 2013 at 12:36 PM

      And you’re still reading it.

      • Old Gator - Jan 4, 2013 at 12:05 AM

illcom, get a life. Or, at the very least, a gold watch and a set of golf clubs.

  3. darthicarus - Jan 3, 2013 at 12:36 PM

If only “mystery team” was added to that tweet somehow, it would have been perfect.

    • bigharold - Jan 3, 2013 at 4:51 PM

Just as long as that “mystery team” isn’t the Yankees.

I’ve got my eyes on you Brian Cashman.

    • cackalackyank - Jan 3, 2013 at 6:12 PM

I see him as a perfect fit on the Muts.

      • Old Gator - Jan 4, 2013 at 12:07 AM

Naahhh, he fits the Mutts the way the stage script for “The Metamorphosis” fit Max Bialystock’s short-range investment plans.

  4. deathmonkey41 - Jan 3, 2013 at 12:39 PM

Craig- take down this damn thread! Brian Cashman might see it!!!

    • proudlycanadian - Jan 3, 2013 at 2:23 PM

Too late. He has seen it!

  5. uyf1950 - Jan 3, 2013 at 12:49 PM

Vazquez seems to do his best work for National League teams. For the most part the opportunities he’s had to pitch for AL teams he has not been good. Maybe a reunion with the Marlins is in best interest.

    • Old Gator - Jan 4, 2013 at 12:08 AM

Whose best interests? Working for Scrooge McLoria is certainly not in Vasquez’ best interests. Hell, there are bacteria that would be better off working a different asshole.

  6. misterchainbluelightning - Jan 3, 2013 at 2:30 PM

    Vazquez>Carps
    (and rightful so)

Don’t let Cashman read this article.
