The Cubs have a much improved bullpen that should allow for both Garza and the Cubs to have more wins during the 2013 season and I don’t see the Cubs having another 100 loss season this year.

Awww, it's not so hard to read the Cubbies. It's a lot harder to read the Chicago Tribune, and a real struggle to read the Free Press. The Cubs just want to insinuate some VETERAN PRESENCE into their mix of babies and toddlers. When you're going nowhere anyway, that's not a half bad idea.

If the Cubs trust his arm, he might be better used as bait at the trade deadline. Teams will want to see him post-injury, and might be willing to part with more during a pennant chase or possibly following an injury to one of their starters.
