Dr. James Andrews fixes elbows and wrestlers

Jan 8, 2013, 11:51 AM EDT

Wrestling (and/or “Magic Mike”) fans should enjoy this testimonial about Dr. James Andrews’ ability to do amazing things beyond Tommy John surgeries:

Take note, Redskins fans.

By the way, I just checked the HardballTalk archives and Dr. James Andrews has been mentioned in 132 posts, which is second only to Batman.

  1. darthicarus - Jan 8, 2013 at 11:52 AM

Logical conclusion is that Dr. Andrews is also Batman.

    • jasonwinter - Jan 8, 2013 at 11:55 AM

      I’ve never seen them together…

  2. cur68 - Jan 8, 2013 at 12:09 PM

Don’t think I didn’t notice you keeping Batman ahead of Andrews there, Craig. I know what you’re up to. Batman Superhero’d to the Score, didn’t he? He had more Superhero “Victories” than Andrews, isn’t that right? You think there isn’t a metric for Batman’s “grit” and “guts” and “being a competitor”, dontcha? All this so that Batman gets into the HBT HoF ahead of Dr. James Andrews. Why I bet you’ll insinuate that Dr. Andrews used steroids, too! JUST so you can get Batman in ahead of him! Man. Its just crazy the way some writers get to use their vote.

    • historiophiliac - Jan 8, 2013 at 1:08 PM

Wonder Woman is amused at this little male competition to get into the HoF, which she achieved by virtue of being Amazonian.

      • paperlions - Jan 8, 2013 at 1:45 PM

By Wonder Woman, I assume you mean Kate Upton (we would also accept Eva Mendes, Jessica Biel, Kate Beckinsale, Gina Torres, Monica Bellucci, Mila Kunis, or, of course, Angelina Jolie).

      • historiophiliac - Jan 8, 2013 at 1:51 PM

No, Kate Upton is no Wonder Woman…and now I worry about you, paper.

      • paperlions - Jan 8, 2013 at 2:02 PM

What can I say……..b00bz, they can be tantalizing.

      • historiophiliac - Jan 8, 2013 at 2:05 PM

Ok, but Wonder Woman is a combo of that & ass-kicking. Upton has an ass-kicking WAR of like -20. She’s a beach girlie. Your Jolie choice was more on the money.

      • cur68 - Jan 8, 2013 at 2:11 PM

Was that a Monica Bellucci shout-out? That’s a big hell yes from me, too.

As for BJ & Justin’s sister Kate: b00bz trumps all. And don’t be knockin’ beach girlz. Beach girlz need love, too.

      • historiophiliac - Jan 8, 2013 at 2:14 PM

I’m not against beach girls — she’s just no Wonder Woman. Totally different weight class.

      • paperlions - Jan 8, 2013 at 2:35 PM

It was….Monica Bellucci is just some kind of sexy. I could watch Shoot ‘em Up over and over just because of her.

      • cur68 - Jan 8, 2013 at 2:46 PM

The ONLY reason for watching Shoot ‘em Up was Monica. Really, they should have re-written the script around her and left whatshisface totally out of it.

      • paperlions - Jan 8, 2013 at 2:53 PM

        Yep.

      • historiophiliac - Jan 8, 2013 at 3:01 PM

Are you all done ruining my Wonder Woman thread? Gah!

      • paperlions - Jan 8, 2013 at 3:27 PM

I thought we were being supportive. :-D

      • cur68 - Jan 8, 2013 at 4:02 PM

Yeah. We love Wonder Woman. That bustiere. Those hotpants. That lasso! Man, I learned to draw from Wonder Woman comics: clearly she was raised in zero gravity, its the only explanation for that awesome figure. And of course: b00bz.

      • historiophiliac - Jan 8, 2013 at 4:21 PM

Look, paper clearly doesn’t even know what that is b/c at least 2 of the women on his list only qualify as b0bs. Stop.

      • paperlions - Jan 8, 2013 at 4:25 PM

I guess in zero gravity, one doesn’t need support, eh?

      • cur68 - Jan 8, 2013 at 4:32 PM

Hey! No slandering Gina Torres & Mila Kunis! Why if it wasn’t for this restraining order (first thing I’ll do when I seize control of the world is place all lawyers in a gunny sack and hang them from a tree. They’ll consume one another in there) those ladies would be my brides. Yes. I mean both at once.

      • historiophiliac - Jan 8, 2013 at 4:58 PM

        I hate you both.

      • cur68 - Jan 8, 2013 at 5:07 PM

Well, we do generate strong feelings in others. Feelings that they themselves do not fully understand. It IS an awesome responsibility, but I’ve learned to carry it with dignity. ‘Lions is still struggling with it, but some encouragement and role modelling should see him through. That and laying off the elderberry wine.

      • paperlions - Jan 8, 2013 at 5:12 PM

You know. According to legend, Amazons cut off one breast to better shoot their bows. So…I don’t think wonder woman could be a real Amazon, unless…you know….she left because she wanted to keep them both. May explain why historio wrote “b0bz”. I thought it was a typo, but it likely was just homage to the Amazons, who have b0bz instead of b00bz.

  3. rdav29 - Jan 8, 2013 at 12:10 PM

    Dr. Andrews is nWo?

    • ktourek - Jan 8, 2013 at 12:51 PM

I could see Andrews in the Wolfpac

      • Kevin Gillman - Jan 8, 2013 at 4:32 PM

At least he isn’t NWO Hollywood.

  4. Jeremy T - Jan 8, 2013 at 12:16 PM

Nash says he’s 2nd to God. Calcaterra says he’s second to Batman. So… Batman == God? Sounds about right to me.

    • Jeremy T - Jan 8, 2013 at 12:20 PM

Shoot, I mixed up Craig and Aaron again, didn’t I…

      • cur68 - Jan 8, 2013 at 12:22 PM

Common mistake. I did the same thing. Note to self: check the byline before thinking self funny.

      • Jeremy T - Jan 8, 2013 at 12:35 PM

Oddly, the solution that’s more often proposed to me is for me to stop thinking I’m funny in the first place. Can’t imagine why…

      • cur68 - Jan 8, 2013 at 1:14 PM

I hear that one, too. Some people just can’t appreciate greatness in wit, eh?

      • historiophiliac - Jan 8, 2013 at 1:53 PM

        Points for earnestness.

  5. Alex K - Jan 8, 2013 at 12:42 PM

This just made me miss the awesome tags to posts all over again. Can we bring back the tags?!?

  6. southpaw77 - Jan 8, 2013 at 1:01 PM

I thought Andrews gave Batman the knee brace in the dark knight movie. Amazing how that brace helped him regrow cartilage, now get one for Brandon Roy

  7. Kevin Gillman - Jan 8, 2013 at 1:30 PM

I’m going to say it, but Kevin Nash is right. Dr. James Andrews/Batman knows what he is talking about.

  8. kash71 - Jan 8, 2013 at 2:12 PM

Kevin Nash, Hulk Hogan, and the fingerpoke of doom. Wrestlin’s finest.

  9. dcfan4life - Jan 8, 2013 at 2:27 PM

Just curious, but how is this Baseball news?

    • Jeremy T - Jan 8, 2013 at 5:37 PM

HBT has embarked on the path to become it’s own self-aware entity, only tangentially connected to the sport of baseball.

      • historiophiliac - Jan 8, 2013 at 11:53 PM

Hey, it’s the off-season. This is the line camping out til the box office opens.

  10. Francisco (FC) - Jan 8, 2013 at 3:20 PM

    Hmm… I wonder where Aquaman ranks…

    • paperlions - Jan 8, 2013 at 3:28 PM

He’s the Jack Morris of the Justice League

    • historiophiliac - Jan 8, 2013 at 3:44 PM

      I like Aquaman.

  11. websurferdude - Jan 8, 2013 at 11:22 PM

Is this the same doctor who repaired Adrian Peterson’s knees.
