Are they really interested, or is this another “we’ve been in contact with” that was listed to about every pitcher this year? They managed to only signing a couple that are big questions marks. His upside isn’t huge, but wouldn’t mind a one year deal (maybe two, if cheap enough), just so they have some options. If it isn’t big money, and it doesn’t work, just cut him.
