Pablo Sandoval is in the hospital with abdominal pain

Jan 17, 2013, 3:56 PM EST

UPDATE:  Uh oh, yes, it is serious:

Colitis is nasty business. Here’s hoping it’s less serious than it often can be. Get well soon, Panda.

3:56 PM: Yikes:

More details would be nice. Because then we would (a) know if he was really OK; and (b) know if it was so serious that we should not make jokes about it.

Dangit! He’s on the Venezuelan WBC roster. :( Get better soon.

I wonder if colitis is what Babe Ruth had in 1925. It certainly sounds better than “ate too many hot dogs and drank too much beer” as a reason to miss half the season.

      I thought he had syphilis.

Hmm….Panda is fat again, now has colitis, Hugo Chavez hasn’t been seen in public in awhile.

The world thanks you, Cannibal Panda!

Angel Pagan has colitis too. Remember he was supposed at the plate but was instead in the stall?

Colitis is no joke, i developed it very suddenly and had my colon rupture while in the hospital, had to have it removed. Hopefully with medication he can get it under control.
