Getty Images Washington has avoided arbitration with Ross Detwiler, signing the left-hander to a one-year, 2.3375 million deal.
Detwiler was arbitration eligible for the first time after throwing 164 innings with a 3.00 ERA for the Nationals last season and is slated to be the fifth starter in a stacked rotation this year.
At age 26 he has a 4.02 ERA in 56 career starts and won’t be a free agent until after the 2015 season.

scary to think this rotation could be better than last year. Good to see Detwiler sticking around for a while. Just a few years ago the Nats had Livan Hernandez as an ace and Lannan #2 haha

Good for Detwiler, the only Nats starter that didnt wet the bed in the playoffs.
