Every so often, the comments on here are at least as inane as the dialogue in Gigli or even, sometimes, Plan Nine from Outer Space…

Hey now, let’s lay off Ed Wood. He might not be a Kerry Wood, but he’s a lot better than a Chris Volstad.

When he pitched for the Feesh, I usually kept my eyes closed.

Seeing as how your comments are all over the map, I get the feeling you do the same every once in a while on this blog.

Assuming they continue to salivate over signing Brandon Webb during his comeback attempt, they’ll be attempting to give the fifth spot in their rotation to either Pomeranz (prospect with command issues who bombed out last year), Friedrich (prospect with fly-ball issues who bombed out and got injured last year), Tyler Chatwood (semi-prospect who has been terrible with two teams), Webb, and Volstad (bombed out with the Marlins and the Cubs).

That’s without taking into consideration Jeff Francis being the 4th starter and Jorge de la Rosa being the 2nd or 3rd starter (with what, two very unimpressive starts since his return from arm surgery?).

Then again I suppose it speaks to just how bad the pitching situation in Colorado is that in the past two years, they’ve given rotation spots to Jamie Moyer and Jeff Francis.
