Hard to believe this guy has pitched for eighteen seasons and nearly 2,000 innings pitching ML-average innings (career ERA+ of 100).

If the young guys aren’t ready for the Show yet, then prematurely promoting them won’t help. A retread could buy them more development time. Plus there’s the whole “veteran leadership” thing, for what it’s worth. Can’t hurt to have a good guy and a hard worker in the pen with the kids.

Good guy? Yes. Hard worker? Yes. Stealing the spot of a young guy that needs MLB experience? Yes!!!! Rockies need to get it in gear going all young. There pitching is going to suck no matter what and a retread wont save it or much help it.
