Yeah, kind of surprised he went to a NL team. He had a good playoff for the Tigers last season, but just no room for him at DH or outfield. His off the field comments hurt him, too.

well…in the world of major league baseball, that’s about what you’d expect…a cheap throw away sort of signing that doesn’t cost much if he shows up and continues to be delmon young.

on the other hand…he does still have the talent he had that made him so highly regarded. i doubt that he’s got the character it takes to bring it out, and to fruition…but, stranger things have happened.

i’m glad he’s not on my Tigers any more, i’ll say that.

Exactly – D. Young blocking Brown means you are saying Ruf is a shoe in to make the team. Don’t get me wrong, that may ultimately be the case. But sitting here in January, anyone who has already given Ruf a spot on the roster has no clue what they are saying.
