This would mean we could afford to move Reimold to the DH position (where I feel he’s better suited) and use Nate as a back-up OF. In doing so we solidify LF, DH and 1B without a platoon that involves 3 positions and 3 players (Davis, Reimold, McLouth), and bring back the HR/RBI lost when Reynolds went to Cleveland. Sound reasoning and less expensive than a Bourne or Upton, and won’t cost us draft picks or top prospects.
