Pat White was a beast in Madden 11, my buddy used him for the Wildcat formation and caught unsuspecting opponents off guard. I hates chasing him around.

No harm in giving the guy some sort of minor league deal, but the way he dominated Big East football was his downfall. He’s admitted to not working as hard in the NFL, that it wasn’t as easy as he’s used to it being. I’d imagine that same attitude carried over to his shot at baseball.

Now that mobile QB’s are in style, I’d like to see someone like Chip Kelly get his hands on him for a little while. Baseball is probably not where this guy should be.

My point was more about the commentators. It’s only 4 years later and I have a hard time hearing commentators talking about how helmet to helmet hits are “just part of the game”.

Actually, it hasn’t changed as much as you think. Helmet to helmet hits are still legal on a ball carrier, which is what White was on this play once he started running. The Pollard hit on Ridley in the AFC Championship game this past Sunday was helmet to helmet, although arguably the fault of the ball carrier, not the tackler.

An offer to do what, exactly? Pitch bags of peanuts higher and farther, so they won’t have to hire more than one vendor per eight seating sections because the former quarterback can reach the rearmost rows of seats? The Feesh descend further and further into theater of the absurd.

Interesting how much football has changed in so short of a time. Notice the commentators saying that helmet to helmet hits “are just part of the game”.

I would love to see him make a comeback in the NFL, he was one of my favorite players when he was in college, but I think he has a better chance playing baseball.
