I am looking forward to seeing both Upton brothers patrolling the Braves outfield. I’m even more excited to see how each does at the plate. Each sibling could push each other to outdo the other. BJ just hit a double… Justin comes up and smashes a homer. Going to be a fun year with both and combine that with Heyward the Braves could have the best numbers of any outfield in MLB this year. I’m calling it now 100 HR, 325 RBI’s, 60 SB…

And the Upton OF will be another of unfulfilled potential,all over again. Which is not their fault.People keep projecting numbers on them that they only rarely come close to producing based on flashes. They are decent players,and no more taken as they are. They suck compared to the ever present projections of greatness.

That’s the idea. Brothers who were starting outfielders together.

Hank and Tommie Aaron were teammates, but Tommie was mostly a bench player and his primary position was first (though he did start 51 games in the outfield in 1968). Jose and Ozzie Canseco were teammates for nine games. Wilton Guerrero was mostly a second baseman when he and Vladdy were teammates.

I may have missed a couple of more legitimate pairings, though.

Wow. I bet that OF of Felipe, Matty and Jesus was a “fiery” bunch.
While he OF of Lloyd and Paul was incredibly “gritty.”
Sorry…couldn’t resist.
Only thought about using these adjectives after reading Ben’s post on one of the Upton articles.
