People are naive. Toronto fans say he didn’t do it. Just like a reds Dan would defend Griffey. Wake up. They all did it. Seriously. Get your heads out of the sand (or snow). Riding his bike caused a hip condition…… That made me lol. Hips don’t turn on a bike. 6th grade health class.

Delgado was naturally strong. There was never any suspicion about him and steroids. When he played in Toronto, he lived in a condo near Bloor Street and usually rode his bicycle a few miles to work. Great exercise for the legs, but might have also contributed to the hip problem.

Ask any doctor or use webmd. Certain hip injuries are directly tied to steroids. I don’t know which condition Delgado had. . Fact.

I ran into an honest sports memorabilia dealer about 6-9 months ago. I told him what I had, and he may have gotten the item with a bid. Instead he said, “Save it until they win a title, it’ll be worth tons more then.” I’ll be grateful–if that team ever wins a championship!

Few creatures that walk or crawl are as smarmy as the sports memorabilia dudes. I’m sure some are decent folks but if you run into one just to be safe best to punch them in the liver anyway.

Secondly, almost everyone’s career ends in a whimper. With very few exceptions, no one leaves the game because they are totally awesome and healthy. In all fairness to Carlos, he 0.5 WAR in his final season was better than the final season of Hank Aaron, Willie Mays, Babe Ruth or Lou Gehrig…perhaps we should describe them as “going out with a whimper” too?

And boo-hoo…he didn’t reach the 500 home run club. He’ll just have to settle with being a lousy schlub who only managed to hit more home runs than all but 31 people in baseball history. What a loser.

Hip injuries = PEDs? Really? News to me. Delgado had a hip impingement injury which eventually lead to arthritis. Its common in athletes who run, twist, and jump a lot. You know, baseball football, soccer, hockey players? Its common in anyone who does that stuff a lot. I’d love to see this guy’s evidence that FAI = steroid use.
