I loved his first book and liked his second book. They really were different.

The first one was about minor league hijinks plus some funny stuff with his grandmother and family about how he has to scrape by to continue his career.

The second book was more about his relationship with his fiancee/wife with the baseball stuff layered on top of that.

I'll probably get the third book sometime too, but I'm just saying that interested readers might want to check reviews & descriptions before assuming the third book is primarily about baseball hijinks because in my opinion the second book was NOT like that.
