Peavy seems like a great guy and I'm a huge fan of his attitude on and off the field. That being said, this is kinda crap. The white sox had a 3 game lead with 15 games to go and went 2-10 in the next 12 games. They were in 1st practically the entire season and at 3 games back Detroit wasn't exactly surging or breathing down their necks. A lot of these guys were on the 2008 team that barely got to the tiebreaker game and won that one 1-0. They can handle pressure, they just stopped hitting to a maddening extent. Yes, I'm still bitter

Late in the season, his future with the pale hose seemed bleak. Fox Sports did an in-game interview with him, and he talked about how there were a lot of things clicking around Kansas City's ball club and how much he enjoyed spending time in KC... I was disappointed when he was re-signed; I thought for sure Kansas City would make a play for him on the cheap. I like Peavy a lot and even as a division rival, he's alright in my book.
