How to shut off iPhone autocorrect in 6 easy steps:

1) Ensure that your iPhone is on the home screen. Go to settings (hint: use The settings icon on the home screen).
2) Tap the Settings icon
3) Look for the “General” tab within the settings pane, and tap it. This is normally found in the middle of the settings screen.
4) Scroll to the bottom of the general settings screen. Find the word “Keyboard”, and tap this option.
5) Find the option that says “Auto-Correction”. This setting is generally the first feature found on the Keyboard settings screen.
6) Disable autocorrect by tapping your finger where the auto-correct feature says ON. The gray rectangle should move to the left and the word OFF should appear.

I feel your pain about the iPhone autocorrect function screwing up what you type–happens to me all the time too.

However, responding to a minor snark with wishing death upon the person who dared tease you is way past classless.

Lastly, Craig has been repeatedly saying that A-Rod is not going away–that is simple truth and not in any way, shape or form defending him or justifying anything he might have done. Stop letting your emotions cloud your ability to comprehend what you read.

It's a free weekly "music and arts" tabloid mainly supporting by advertising revenue from escort services and "personal" classifieds, and as a general rule you can't give enough of them away each week to avoid sedimenting the ones from previous weeks. Well, this morning all the copies of this week's issue were gone. I had to sip my cafe con leche and munch my croquetas de jamon, jamon while perousing last week's escort service ads - still running holiday season prices. Or maybe it was the week before last's issue. Ah well. Anyway, this scandal has been berry berry good for the local tabloid culture. And why not? Arne Saknussemm's secret exit from the center of the Earth is hidden even more completely under the adjacent pile of unsold Macondo Feeshwrappers.
