I am really not proud that I am going to sound the conspiracy theorist here but…

If Bosch or anyone else was actually responding to texts from A-Rod in the middle of the night to come to his house and give him injections, I would wager they were injecting him with opioids, not PEDs. Opioid withdrawal is awful and takes effect about 4 hours after last use. Pro athletes are vulnerable to it given the number of surgeries they go through and the frequency of being prescribed prescription opioids. This would not be the first instance of a wealthy person having a personal drug dealer administering their drug. Maybe A-Rod was just hooked on painkillers

Hey, I’m all for bad-mouthing A-Rod. But these past few days have been ridiculous. Let’s report on facts instead of anonymous sources, and assumptions. I won’t go as far as to say innocent until proven guilty (I’m more of a ‘where there is smoke, there’s fire’ type of guy), but have some hard facts before this level of involvement and accuations. You’re no better than the Enquirer.

All prescription drugs are illegal if they are prescribed for non-approved usage or prescribed for patients that don’t have the conditions the doctor cites. In other words, just because a drug is legal with a prescription and a person happens to be a doctor does not mean it is legal for them to prescribe whatever they want, to whomever they way, for whatever the want.

It’s actually pretty easy to do an intramuscular injection on yourself. The vastus lateralis muscle on the thigh makes a great site for an intramuscular shot.

I agree with a previous poster there is something about this whole story that seems completely off. Like someone threw A-rods name into it because it would be the only way to make it a big national story and potentially 5 years from now turn it into a book deal. Don’t put it past people.

OK, I’m not a doctor. But if they can’t find a vein, you don’t “bleed everywhere.” Sounds to me more like he HIT a vein in error.

Craig, you story is riddled with BS
first, GH is injected in the subcutnaeous fat around the stomach thighs etc……not in a vein ever.
second, he personally drove to his houst to administer? no, it’s done 5-7 days weekly in small amounts, so he drove over every day…doubt it
if you must jump on the media created roid/GH frenzy, at least get the facts straight

oh yeah, by the way, these drugs are not illegal with a perscription, it’s called Hormone Replacement therapy(HRT) and it works great and there’s nothing you and all the do -gooders(including MLB,DEA whomever can do about it…..GET OVER IT

No, no names. No sign-in sheets, no invoices, no phone records, no photographs (even though all these guys are walking around with three cell phones). No positive tests (unless MLB is holding back information).
