Maybe a player just evolves and peaks in their later 20s. Cabrera isn’t needed as a power source for the Jays, but a contact hitter to move Reyes over and a guy to play decent defence. None of that is affected by drugs. Bautista has evolved into a bit of a power hitter. All he needed was an opportunity.
