Manny Ramirez may play in Taiwan

Feb 5, 2013, 10:31 AM EDT

Uh-oh you guys: we may not have Manny Ramirez to kick around anymore:

I suppose stranger things have happened than Manny Ramirez’ interest being held by playing in Taiwan and keeping his nose clean all year. At the moment, though, I can’t imagine what.

That might be a good place for him, he can juice all he wants over there.

When worlds collide….oh the cultural misunderstandings should be great. How do you say “Manny being Manny” in Mandarin?

This sounds like the setup of a bad National Lampoon comedy.

A source? What type of source? Is it the source from the Matrix? I thought we were supposed to question anonymous sources that don’t even give a vague hint of the quality of the source.

I suppose Morosi’s sources are generally good enough to not require a skep check.

Barry Praver, Ramirez’s agent, has used Morosi as his mouthpiece in the past.

Ah, so that’s the suspected source. Good enough then for the rumor mill.

A source told me that the “source” is Lennay Kekua.

It’s terrific that you enjoy playing baseball. However, all good things eventually come to an end. You might want to figure out how to find happiness with the rest of your years. There’s a limit to how long you can postpone getting on with the rest of your life.

Oh, yes, this will turn out well. Manny’s work ethic is so consistent with the Taiwanese culture…

My source (he is 6 feet tall and invisible) indicates that Manny may be playing with himself.

EDA Rhinos sounds like a PED.

Funny thing is, you can use the same headline even if they do sign him, because you never know what you will get with Manny.
