As always…Friedman knows what’s best for the franchise. I’m an avid Rays fan, and I wholeheartedly agree with both moves, after watching them both over the last 2-3 years. Cut ties, plenty of time spent on both. If you accomodate mediocrity, you become mediocrity. Friedman.

Rays have already wasted too much time on both these guys. They have both had several opportunities. Maybe they need a fresh start somewhere else. Good luck to them both.

I think your mistaken about Elliot Johnson, he’s a decent hit cant field type of player..likely because of JOMA’s constant lineup shuffling but still his defensive stats from last year wernt good at all.. Brigniac showed potential in 2010 as a bench player but he fell off the face of the earth the last 2 years… I’ll miss Johnson more than Reid by far, but thats not saying much for either of them.
