Well, it is odd, because there are 1000s of more qualified people that can testify about human physiology than a quack running an “anti-aging clinic”. I would like to point out that consulting is not the same as testifying, also do you think Bosch is the only guy they consulted? For all you know they consulted a dozen different people to get as much information as possible.

In this case, you are 100% correct. The information provided so far is equivalent to “my sister’s boyfriend heard from a guy that knows this girls who’s brother said he heard that….”. There is definitely smoke, but it is hard to tell who set the fire.

Saying someone is innocent and that using the available evidence that you can’t prove someone is guilty are not the same things.

Look at all of the asshole comment by people that have no information whatsoever about the incident. The public literally knows almost nothing. The report about Braun’s appeal was never even released. If you know fuck all, which is what we know, then any opinion is based on fuck all….and that is all it is worth.

Yes, the sample was positive, but because they couldn’t establish chain of custody there was no way to confirm that it was actually the sample Braun provided. That isn’t a technicality.

Also, attorney’s don’t owe money when acting on your behalf, you do.

That is a far more reasonable response than the hordes of blithering idiots that, after several years, have still refused to inform themselves about the PEDs at hand and just assume that if it is banned it must have magical baseball-enhancing abilities and be harmful to ones health and if it isn’t banned it must be perfectly okay, having neither performance enhancing effects or negative health consequences.

Yes, he went there. Because HBT is a classy web site, with really classy writers like Drew Silva who dissuade testimony with comments like “It seems odd that Braun couldn’t find a more qualified consultant than Bosch” and “you have to wonder why Braun’s attorneys were ‘previously familiar with’ the guy.”

Yeah, I’m going out on a limb here, but I would say that since Braun went to school in Miami, it could be his attorneys have local connections? Or that since Braun is a Major League Ballplayer, and Bosch “treated: Major League Ballplayers that Bosch’s name came up as a potential witness in Braun’s case.

But, see, silly articles with leading (yet empty) allegations lead to historical dipwads like O.P.

Not liking this Braun “alibi” for Gio. Legitimizes the notes/journal. Braun acknowledges his name is “correctly” on them, giving them validity. Admits he had dealings with the guy–for whatever reason. Not liking it at all.

Fact is the sample was still positive! He won his appeal because MLB could not prove a “secure chain of custody.” So yes Braun won his appeal, but on a technicality. Also why would Braun’s name be on the monies owed ledger and not his attorneys, law firms name. It was his attorney who pursued Bosch to consult.

I believe you as to the cost of real litigation….but do you think a guy (unlicensed ?) that keeps records scribbled on a notebook is preparing a “detailed report” to be used in the defense? And if so, does that not cast more serious doubts on to the original defense? PED pusher on one end and PED defender on the other?

Lets not speculate, what we know is. . . Braun’s positive test was suppose to be confidential, but MLB missed the boat and allowed word to get out. Braun wins his appeal and in the end MLB looks bad. Sketch facility linked to PED’s gets shut down and Brauns name is on a piece of paper and involved in further investigation. . . Braun was guilty before proven innocent the first time and now guilty by association so it really doesn’t matter.

And we also know that Braun is the most consistent hitters and one of the best players in baseball.
