And anyway, of course Montero is "linked" to biogenesis. That's how all of us who aren't totally synthetic got here in the first place. Only those bloggers who are in fact randomly formed artificial intelligences, nucleated around a core of baseball data in the matrix, and thereby completely inorganic, would not be "linked" to biogenesis. Get real, AI's.

In all seriousness though, that is the way it always goes, people follow the winners. Did anybody micro-disect the in’s and out’s of David Bell coming to the Phillies in 2003? But Michael Young comes here in 2013 – and whoa!! No shortage of opinions at all!

I agree that guilt by association is a dangerous thing – but on the other hand, I think innocence by “possibilities” is a little silly.

If I am any of those players named, and I had a legitimate reason for being there, I would scream from the rooftops why I picked Bosch, I would scramble to get records of dates and reasons for visits, I wold do every and anythign to show I was clean. I realize some guyys may be doing just that. But if we are sitting here 2 months from now, and some of these guys still have nothing beyond “This is all an innocent misunderstanding”, then I am going to be suspicious of that player.

One could argue that if you are innocent, it is unfair to have to prove your innocence. And that is probably true. But Bosch has been arrested, so these players need to get their story out – if in fact they are innocent

If, as you suggest, some players wanted to find out if they were taking something legal or not, all they had to do was call MLB. They maintain a complete list of things you can and cannot take. There’s no reason to seek out a non-certified doctor at a shady “anti-aging” clinic for this reason.

…wouldn’t it be weird, if *some* folks actually were using biogenesis as a consultant. you know, making sure of what they were taking, making sure it was legal.

i mean, we’ve had guys suspended for taking something OTC that triggered a positive result. you’d think you might want to…try…to make sure what you’re taking is okay.

See Tom Verducci on SI.com. A common link to many of the players named is the University of Miami which is across the street from the clinic. The stadium for the University is named after Arod. Several of the names on the client list played baseball for the University of Miami. Do not know if any football players were clients. There is no indication that most of the players actually named received peds. It is quite possible that they visited the clinic for non PED reasons.
