Universities do all they can to massage crime stats on campus (especially violent crimes), including ignoring accusations and coercing witnesses and victims….if that doesn’t work, they’ll often just lie. This is the kind of PR that every university tries to avoid, and if that means ignoring a few dozen rape victims/year….well….
