Lenny Dykstra’s son and Tony Soprano’s daughter are having a baby

Two weeks ago Lenny Dykstra’s son, 23-year-old minor leaguer Cutter Dykstra, got engaged to Jamie-Lynn Sigler, the 31-year-old actress who played Meadow on “The Sopranos.”

Now they’re having a baby, according to People magazine.

And because we pay so much attention to the use of unnamed “sources” in the baseball reporting world, I was amused by this:

“She couldn’t be more excited!” a source tells PEOPLE. … There’s no wedding date set yet. But one thing’s for certain: “Jamie can’t wait to be a mom,” the source adds.

Phew. I was worried the source might say something like “oh man, she’s really depressed about this and would rather be a baseball blogger than a mom.”

That’s impossible. They’re not married yet.

Well you see little Timmy, when a Man and a Women love each other VERY much they hug and that hug and love make a baby

Disclaimer: Neither Love nor hugs are needed to make a baby.

It’s not like she’s had a career since the Sopranos ended or anything. If you’re going to go down, do it magnificantly in a flaming ball of screaming wreckage.

Ummm…you do know she’s a main character on the show Guys With Kids? Not a major “smash” but a cute show with a strong following. Certainly not “going down” in any kind of wreckage.

    Good luck, ya crazy kids!

Hey… I want to be a mom AND a baseball blogger when I grow up.

Grandpop Dykstra can still sign autographs while on visitation, doesn’t matter who’s name you want on there, he’ll sign it. Anything to spoil his grandkid.!

I know for a fact that I’d rather be a baseball blogger than a mother.

If she has a natural childbirth then she can assume the nickname of the one character on Sopranos who became an FBI informant.

I assume that Tony will be hanging around with a shotgun until the wedding actually occurs.
