So far so good with Colby Lewis’ rehab from elbow surgery

Colby Lewis gave a promising update on his comeback from July elbow surgery to repair a torn flexor tendon, telling Richard Durrett of ESPN Dallas: “I haven’t had any pain” and “I feel great.”

Even a best-case scenario for Lewis would mean rejoining the Rangers in late May or early June, so there are still plenty of stumbling blocks to avoid, but he’s currently throwing from 120 feet on flat ground.

After the injury Lewis opted not to hit the open market as a free agent and instead signed a one-year, $2 million deal with the Rangers in September that includes $4 million in potential incentives.

If the Rangers can hang in there and make it to the All Star Break in good/decent shape standings-wise, then bringing Lewis back would really help them in a second-half push. Here’s hoping his rehab continues to go great.

Weird thing about Rangers “horrible” offseason on postion players.
    Catcher improvement over last year.
DH most likely improvement over last year
1st Base Improvement over last year defensively.
    CF improvement defensively down offensively.

lack of head case priceless everything else master card lol
